CASE STUDY: GERDING EDLEN

When Oregon-based developer Gerding Edlen made its entrance into Boston with its first new construction residential building, 315 on A in the burgeoning artistic Fort Point district, little did they know that the Mayor expected a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the occasion.  With just ten days to execute an event, Kortenhaus sprang into action. Tapping into the Fort Point artists’ community, a “virtual” micro-apartment was created onsite and local bakery, Flour, was tapped for the catering. The event landed on the front page of The Boston Globe and subsequent buzz was developed for Factory 63,  the first historic warehouse building converted into a live-work artists’ building with

gallery space. Kortenhaus became the trusted communications partner for Gerding Edlen and we have continued our partnership, opening Troy Boston in the South End, The Eddy in East Boston and currently Bower in Fenway Center. From creating non-profit partnerships with local neighborhood groups to curating the art work in the public spaces for these buildings, Kortenhaus elevates brands through a series of carefully orchestrated commissions, marketing partnerships and events. Each property enjoyed unprecedented pre-leasing resulting in 95% occupancy rates within the first two months of opening.
